Players from above-five-hundred Chatfield (19-9) and Caledonia (17-11) squads head the All-TRC cast. The Warriors get three All-TRC picks, Ava Privet (5’10” Jr. G), Alexis Schroeder (5’4” Jr. G), and Paige Klug (5’10” junior G/F). All three repeat as making All-TRC. All three averaged double-digit points per game. Privet paced Caledonia with around 12.0 PPG. With her deep shooting, she paced the Warriors in 20-plus-point games. Klug averaged about 11.0 PPG. Schroeder was around 10.5 PPG. Sadie Treptow (5’10 Sr. F) and Jovial King (5’10” Jr. G/F) each earned All-TRC HM. Treptow averaged close to 8.0 PPG while King averaged around 7.0 PPG. Caledonia was balanced with those five girls all topping 7.0 PPG. Brian Baum’s Gophers get two All-TRC picks. Peyton Berg (5’8” Sr. G/F) and Kara Goetzinger (5’9” Jr. F) make the cut. Goetzinger repeats at All-TRC. Berg moves up from All-TRC HM. Goetzinger used her mid-range shot to lead the Gophers in scoring at 12.9 PPG and field goal percentage at 49%. She was also second on the team with 6.5 RPG. The junior also led Chatfield in free throws attempted (101) and made (59). Berg was second on the team with 11.2 PPG and third with 5.4 RPG. The third-year player hit a team-best 43 threes at a solid 38% clip. She chipped in 2.0 SPG and 1.8 APG. Chatfield had four All-TRC HM picks, Anna Kivimagi (5’6” Jr. G), Tessa McMahon (5’5” Sr. G), Jaiden Zimmerman (5’8” Sr. G), and Zayda Priebe (6’1” Sr. F/C). McMahon probably would’ve pushed for an All-TRC designation, had a broken collarbone not cut her season short. She averaged 8.9 points, a team-best 3.8 assists, plus 2.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 12 games. The senior also hit 23 of 56 threes, for a team-high 41%. She was All-TRC HM as a junior. Priebe was the squad’s top rebounder at 7.0 RPG. The long senior added 7.8 PPG while shooting a team-best 51%. Zimmerman averaged 8.0 PPG while adding 2.3 APG and 1.9 SPG. She was All-TRC last season. Kivimagi took McMahon’s role at the point and filled in admirably, averaging 4.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.7 steals. She hit 47% of her field goals and team-best 83% of her free throws (24 of 29). All told, the Gophers had great balance as five girls averaged at least seven points per game. The sixth All-TRC pick from a Journal 11 school is Rushford-Peterson’s Kaylee Ruberg (5’10” Jr. F), who moves up from All-TRC HM as a sophomore. Ruberg was one of the TRC’s top scorers. She led the Trojans in about everything, scoring (19.0 PPG), rebounding (8.5 RPG), steals (2.3 SPG), field goal percentage (45%), free throws attempted, and made (at a 70% clip). The junior quickly surpassed 1,000 points by piling up over 500 this season. She topped 20 points in a game 11 times and 30 twice (including 38 versus Lyle/Pacelli). Ruberg (at 19.0 PPG) was the second leading scorer amongst Journal 11 girls, trailing Lanesboro Kaci Ruen by percentage points. Ruberg was the only R-P player to make All-TRC or All-TRC HM. Fillmore Central didn’t have any pure All-TRC picks. Their leading scorer Abby Bothun (9.1 PPG) missed half the season to injury. Two girls made All-TRC MH: Lauren Mensink (5’6” Sr. G) and Kammry Broadwater (5’10” So. F/G). Each repeated as All-TRC HM. Broadwater, in her third year on varsity, was FC’s best all-round player. She averaged 8.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 3.9 steals per game. She led the Falcons in rebounding, assists, and steals. Mensink, in her third year on varsity, averaged 6.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.1 steals per game.
