All-TRC Wrestling

The Three Rivers All-Conference wrestling list includes nine Chatfield Gophers, five Caledonia/Houston Warriors, four Lewiston-Altura/Rushford-Peterson Screamin’ Eagles, two Fillmore Central/Lanesboro/Mabel-Canton Wolves and two GMLOS Bulldogs. For Chatfield, freshman Joey Cady (107), Gunner Polikowsky (114), and Nolan Happel (160), sophomores Hunter Polikowsky (145), Logan Pearson (127), and Jameson Priebe (121), junior Layne Root (139), and seniors Kaisen Johnson (133) and Will Boelter (215) are honored. Cady, H-Polikowsky, Boelter each went 9-0 in league matches. Priebe and Happel each went 8-0. Johnson, Root, Pearson, and G-Polikowsky each 8-1. Johnson, a four-time state qualifier, finished his career with 141 career wins. Boelter, a two-time state qualifier, finished with 102 wins. Of the nine selections, only G-Polikowsky and Happel (injured) did not make state individually. Chatfield Coach Matt Mauseth was the Section 1A Coach of the Year. For the Warriors, 7th grader Jace Conway (121), 8th grader Kiptyn Meiners (107), seniors Will Allen (172), Anthony Von Arx (189), and Aiden Burns (114) are honored. Burns and Allen each went 9-0 in league matches. Von Arx went 7-1, Meiners 7-2, and Conway 6-1. Burns finished with 126 career wins, Allen 92 (missing multiple seasons to injury). Burns, Allen, and Meiners were state qualifiers. For LARP, 8th grader Michael Alexander (133), juniors Christian Zibrowski (127) and Owen Lange (139), senior Zach Plank (189) are honored. Zibrowski, Lange and Alexander each went 7-0 in TRC matches. Plank went 6-1. He finished his career with over 140 career wins. Juniors Carter Bronk (145) and Chace Drazkowski (285), sophomore Jaxon Johnson (152) made All-TRC HM for the Screamin’ Eagles. The four All-TRC picks and Drazkowski qualified for state. LARP did not wrestle two conference matches due to sickness. FCLMC’s two picks are senior Kane Larson (189) and junior Quinci Kaase (172). Larson went 8-0 in TRC matches, Kaase 7-1. Larson finishes as FCLMC’s only 200-win guy, their program all-time leader in wins with 210, and only two-time state champion (three-time state placer). Grant Daniels (145) made All-TRC HM for the Wolves. Larson and Daniels were state qualifiers. GMLOS’ two All-TRC guys are Drake Payne (215) and Cael Smith (145). Payne finished his career with 133 wins including 90 pins, including 35 this year, when he qualified for state. Junior Parker Armagost (126) and freshman Calum Sween (160) made All-TRC honorable mention for the Bulldogs. Payne, Smith, and Armagost were state qualifiers. The girls All-TRC list includes seven Gophers and six GMLOS Bulldogs. Seniors Emily Bova (106), Brynn Horsman (124), Elle Eickhoff (142), and Eve Goetzinger (148), junior Maizee Priebe (112), freshman Kendyl Nolte (155), and 8th grader Bryn Goetzinger (118) and are honored for Chatfield. All but Horsman and B-Goetzinger qualified for state. Juniors Brandy Christenson (155) and Kloe Meyer (235), sophomores Paisley Schlee (100) and Zoe Steinkamp (124), freshman Chloe Hubbard (106), and 8th grader Willow Dewey (148) and are honored for GMLOS. All but Schlee qualified for state. Chatfield and GMLOS combined for 13 of the 19 total girls All-TRC selections. Making All-TRC HM for the Gophers are sophomore Melody Ward (100) and 8th grader Kinley Manahan (130). For the Bulldogs, senior Addysin Hubbard (130), juniors Alejandra Vasquez and Temperance Gray (190), 7th grader Mariah Severson (142) are honored. LARP junior Bobbie Wnuk (170) and 8th grader Payson Speltz (106) plus FCLMC sophomore Gwen Lieb (118) are also All-TRC HM.
