Trojans led 28-14 at halftime, but made 9 of 15 free throws (after shooting lights out in beating #1 Hayfield) and 15 of 43 FGs (35%). Bunke and Ruberg combined for 34 points. All other Trojans combined for 11)

Fillmore Central 48, #3 in AA Caledonia 86 (C: C. Pieper 26 pts; R. Klug 14 pts; Thane Meiners 10 pts; E. King 10 pts; L. Doyle 9 pts; Austin Meyer 9 pts. FC: J. Kiehne 15 pts, 7 rebs; L. Lanesboro shot 40% from field (23 of 57). SA went 13 of 24 (54%) at free throw line to Lanesboro’s 4 of 14 (29%))

Grand Meadow’s Roman Warmka takes it to the hoop in the Larks’ 60-35 win over Kingsland, as Knight defender Kale Mensink (#12) is also pictured. The GM boys also beat Houston 61-39 to run their win streak to four. Warmka scored 23 and 25 points in the two games.

The last was a Benson game-tying three in the final half-minute. Erdman, who scored 11 of the Knights last 13 points, clinched the game (58-53) by making two free throws late. FC trailed 35-27 at half but out-scored NFV 18-8 in third quarter to lead 45-43. FC led 59-56 late, but NFV tied it at 59. North Fayette won OT 9-6. NF was 21 of 37 from the line, FC 10 of 16. Kiehne, Hellickson, and Benson combined to hit 11 threes. NFV shot 54% (22 of 41) to FC’s 34% (22 of 64). Border Battle Game. Falcons > 0-3, 1-5)
