The 2022-2023 All Three Rivers The 2022-2023 All Three Rivers wrestling team list is headlined by grapplers from Caledonia/Houston and Chatfield. Eight Gophers made All-TRC while six Warriors did. Chatfield’s selections are Javier Berg (106), Kaisen Johnson (113), Gage Bartels (126), Ayden Miner (138), Carson Rowland (145), Jack Dornack (152), Nathan Allen (170), and Kail Schott (182). Berg (sophomore, 44-2) and Schott (junior, 38-4) each went 9-0 in league matches on their way to winning section and state titles at 106 and 182-pounds. It was Schott’s third All-TRC selection while the Berg repeated. Schott heads to his senior year already over 100 career victories. He has posted back-to-back undefeated TRC seasons. Johnson (frosh, 28-13), Bartels (junior, 34-10), and Rowland (sophomore, 37-7) each qualified for state. Johnson went 8-1 in the TRC, Bartels 7-1, and Rowland 7-2. Bartels and Rowland each earned their third All-TRC selection. Miner (sophomore, 28-13), Dornack (junior, 28-13), and Allen (junior, 18-13) each earned their first All-TRC nod. Each went 7-2 in TRC matches. Miner and Dornack each took fourth at sections. Said guys helped the Gophers to a 16-3 season and a second straight 1A runner-up finish. None of the Gophers’ eight selections is a senior. Section champion and state runner-up squad Caledonia/Houston’s six selections are Braxton Lange (120), Tanner Ginther (126), Owen Denstad (132), Cory Scanlan (152), Eric Mauss (182), and Ayden Goetzinger (195). Lange (sophomore, 40-8), Denstad (junior, 48-5), and Goetzinger (senior, 41-8) each went 8-0 in TRC matches while Ginther (sophomore, 23-17) and Mauss (senior, 33-8) each went 7-0. Scanlan (senior, 37-13) went 7-1. Denstad earned his third All-TRC nod amidst his state third place season. He heads to his senior year with over 100 wins. He is 17-0 versus TRC competition the last two years. Goetzinger repeated as All-TRC and goes out a two-time state entrant. Lange, Ginther, Scanlan, and Mauss were all first-time All-league picks. Lange, Mauss, and Scanlan were each state qualifiers. Scanlan took sixth. Of Caledonia/Houston’s six All-TRC picks, only Tanner Ginther did not make state individually. Said guys helped the Warriors finish the season 34-7. LARP got three All-TRC picks: Christian Zibrowski (106), Jordan Zibrowski (132), and Andrew Wilkemeyer (285). Each went 8-1 in the TRC. C-Zibrowski (8th grader, 30-10) and Wilkemeyer (senior 27-17) finished as the section 1AA fifth place finishers. J-Zibrowski (junior, 26-15) heads to his senior year with over 100 wins. GMLOS and FCLMC get two All-TRC picks. For the Bulldogs it is Aiden Quintana (120) and Cohen Wiste (138). Wiste (senior, 44-1) went 9-0 in the TRC. Quintana (senior, 36-12) went 7-1. They finished third and fourth respectively as sections. Wiste finished as GMLOS’ all-time wins leader (unofficially 193) and a five-time All-TRC selection. He went 18-0 in TRC matches the past two seasons. The Wolves two picks are Carter Hovland (152) and Oliver Hoeltzle (170). Each went 7-2 versus TRC competition. Hoeltzle (senior, 28-12) took fourth at sections. Hovland (senior, 28-13) took fifth. Each earned their first All-TRC nod. Making All-TRC HM for Chatfield were Bralyn Burnett (junior, 285) and D’Andre Williams (sophomore, 195). Burnett (16-17) took fifth at sections. Making All-TRC HM for Cal/Hou were Aiden Burns (106), Tucker Ginther (145), and Simon Seymour (160). Ginther (senior, 37-2) won the 145-pound 1A and state titles, but did not wrestle a full allotment of league matches (6-0). Burns (fresh, 28-22) and Seymour (senior, 37-12) each took fourth at sections. LARP’s sole honorable mention was Owen Lange (113). The 8th grader (28-17) took fourth at sections. GMLOS has four HM’s, Cael Smith (113), Braxten Wiste (145), John Swanek (220), and Colton Gardner (junior 285). B-Wiste (junior, 33-16) and Swanek (senior, 25-12) each took fourth at sections. Smith (7th grader, 31-17) took fifth. FCLMC has four HMs: Kane Larson (126), Orion Sass (160), Aaron Hutton (220), and Cooper Ferrie (285). Sass (senior, 22-8) was the Wolves’ sole state guys entrant. Larson (freshman, 31-11) and Ferrie (senior, 31-4) each took third at sections. Hutton (senior, 21-17) took sixth.
