Section 1A Volleyball Playoffs (10/23 & 10/26)

(Play-In) 17-seed Houston (5-21) 3, 16-seed Kingsland (8-17) 2 > 13-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-19, 15-8 (H: Emily Botcher 14 kills, 7 digs, 11 assists, 4 aces; E. Carrier 18 digs; Jorja Meyer 6 kills; Avery Kingsley 3 kills, 11 digs, 5 aces; Cadence Koehler 14 digs, 5 aces; Olivia Yohe 11 assists, 12 digs, 3 aces.   K: K. Aarsvold 39 digs; Kaylin Mensink 4 kills, 10 assists, 16 digs; Ashlyn Harwood 6 kills, 16 digs; Paisley Robinson 13 digs; Morgan Phillips 5 digs, 5 aces; Vaira Merkel 4 kills; Kayln Stier 4 kills.  Kingsland won the SEC-finale between the two teams 3-0 (30-28, 25-22, 25-18) days earlier.  Knights finish at 8-18)

(Round of 16) 17-seed Houston (6-21) 0, 1-seed #2 in Class A Mabel-Canton (31-1) 3 > 25-12, 25-16, 25-11 (MC: S. Morken 30 assists, 10 digs, 16-17 serving, 3 aces; Kinley Soiney 13 kills; Saijal Slafter 8 kills, 3 aces; Tylar Wenthold 5 kills; Hope Erickson 5 kills; Kailey Ingvalson 4 kills, 7 digs, 3 aces; Lydia Vatland 8 digs.  H: E. Botcher 4 kills, 6 assists, 10 digs; E. Carrier 7 digs.  Houston finishes at 6-22.  M-C (32-1) will play 9-seed Goodhue (12-13) in a 1A quarterfinal)

Bakken 33 digs; Hallie Hendrickson 21 assists, 3 aces; L. Queensland 7 kills, 22 digs; Haylie Paul 7 kills; Gracie Foster 6 kills, 16 digs; Rylee Schaufler 10 digs; Kendall Jack 4 kills.   The Larks had 94 digs; R-P had 105.  GM finishes at 14-13.  R-P will play 2-seed #5 in Class A Kenyon-Wanamingo (24-2) in a 1A quarterfinal)

Rushford-Peterson defenders Tayler Helgemoe (#9), Rebecca Magin (#12), and Ava Drazkowski (#3) all converge for defense as Grand Meadow’s Lauren Queensland awaits on the Lark side of the ball. In a game with a lot of volley action, R-P swept GM 3-0 (25-10, 25-20, 27-25) to move on to a quarterfinal game in Rochester.

Olson 30 assists; Kaci McKenzie 7 kills; Maria Almaraz-Nolt 6 kills; Brooke Jasper 4 kills; Keira Lewison 7 digs.  Cardinals finish at 19-11.  L-O beat the Wildcats 2-0 at the Goodhue Tourney earlier this year)

Halverson 8 kills; Kendal VanMinsel 3 kills, 27 assists, 5 digs; Izabel Kaufmann 10 digs; Sydney Holland 6 digs. SG (22-6) will play 5-seed Alden-Conger (23-5) in 1A quarterfinal).

(Round of 16) 16-seed St. Charles (0-23) 0, 1-seed #2 in Class AA Chatfield (24-2) 3 > 25-9, 25-10, 25-13 (C: H. Goldsmith 4 kills, 20 assists, 28-31 serving, 13 aces; Jaelyn LaPlante 14 kills; Evy Goldsmith 5 kills; Trindy Barkeim 5 kills; Cora Bicknese 9 digs; Lexi Hinckley 7 digs; Hannah Tweten 10 assists, 13-13 serving, 2 aces.  Chatfield (25-2) will play 8-seed Medford (14-15) in the 1AA quarters)

(Round of 16) 15-seed Rochester-Lourdes (4-16) 0, 2-seed #5 in Class AA Caledonia (23-5) 3 > 25-11, 25-14, 25-12 (C: Emma Rommes 4 kills, 29 assists, 6 digs; Braelyn Lange 10 kills; Logan Koepke 6 kills, 7 digs; Liv Myhre 8 kills; Sienna Augedahl 6 kills; Aubrie Klug 5 kills, 5 digs; Emme Kittleson 15-15 serving, 3 aces.   Warriors (24-5) will play 10-seed Cotter (10-9) in the 1AA quarterfinals)
