(Quarterfinal) 5-seed Alden-Conger (23-5) 3, 4-seed Spring Grove (22-6) 2 > 15-25, 25-16, 16-25, 25-20, 14-16 (SG: S. Holland 25 digs, 19-19 serving; J. Halverson 23 kills; Jordis Neeley 16 kills, 19 digs, 3 aces; Hailey Normann 10 kills; Kendal VanMinsel 5 kills, 48 assists, 2 aces; Izabel Kaufmann 16 digs. The teams essentially took turns in controlling the first four sets. SG led set five 9-5 but the game would later be tied at 11, 12, 13, and 14. SG staved off match point down 14-13, but not a second. In the fifth set, there were no ace serves, but the Lions had three service errors and the Knights none. For the match, SG had two more kills but also nine more total errors. Their season ends at 22-7)

(Quarterfinal) 7-seed Rushford-Peterson (15-12) 0, 2-seed #5 Kenyon-Wanamingo (24-2) 3 > 25-11, 25-21, 25-18 (R-P: Tayler Helgemoe 8 kills, 4.5 blks; Torryn Schneider 17 digs; Lindsey Hoiness 5 kills, 13 digs; Kayla Magin 11 assists, 7 digs; Ava Drazkowski 9 assists, 8 digs; Josie Brown 9 digs. The Knights controlled the action. R-P briefly went ahead in game two 16-15 and the set was later tied 18-18, but K-W scored five of the next seven for a 23-20 lead. R-P’s season ends at 15-13)

Spring Grove’s Joelle Halverson swings awaysduring the Lions’ section 1A quarterfinal versus Alden-Conger. Indicative of how tough Section 1A is, the 22-7 Lions fell in five sets to the Knights 3-2 (15-25, 25-16, 16-25, 25-20, 14-16). SG led set five 9-5, but wound up losing. Halverson had a team-high 23 kills.
