Track and Field (4/26 – 4/29)

LFCMC senior hurdler standout J.T. Rein hones in on the finish line of the 110-meter event, ahead of RPH’s Aaron Prinsen. Rein was the event champion, while Prinsen took second. Prinsen had a first and two seconds’ overall. RPH’s boys won their home meet over LFCMC.

PEM “Verne Herman” Invite (Waseca’s girls (133.5) barely beat LFCMC’s (132.25) while Chatfield (92) took fifth and Caledonia/Spring Grove 10th (of 10). Waseca’s boys (150.5) beat LFCMC’s (126) while Chatfield (80.5) took fourth and Cal/SG ninth. LFCMC 1st’s: J.T Rein (110-hurdles > 16:36), Lynsey Ruen (300-hurdles > 50.39), Brielle Ruen (200 > 27.46), Isaac Snyder (800 > 2:13.54), Addie Miner (Pole Vault > 8’6”), the boys 4×400 (3:46.18 > Jordan Peterson, Carson Ruen, Snyder, Luke Ruen). Luke Ruen (800) added a second. Lillyan Kiehne (3,200), Madison Simon (Pole Vault), Chase Christianson (Triple Jump), and Seth Semmen (Discus) took second. The girls 4×400 (L-Ruen, Kammry Broadwater, Morgan Pickett, Macayla Brogle) and coed 1,600 sprint medley (M. Brogle, B. Ruen, J.T. Rein, Carson Ruen) teams took second. Miner (400) and Broadwater (Triple Jump) added third place finishes. Jersey Ristau (300-hurdles), Boston Wright (Pole Vault), Henry Liew (Long Jump) took third. Liew added a fourth (Triple Jump). Chatfield 1st’s: Sam Backer (100 > 11.26, 200 > 23.51), Logan Thompson (1,600 > 5:07.17), Zayda Priebe (Discus > 119’4”), the boys 4×100 (45.40 > Isaac Erding, Eli Hopp, Thad Evans, Backer) and 4×800 (9:16.83 > L. Thompson, Gabe Erding, Adam Pagnano, Treyton Lanning) squads. Lanning (1,600) added a third. Lauren Cole had a second (200) and a third (High Jump). The girls 4×100 (Chloe Berg, Evy Goldsmith, Saige Schild, Cole) took second. Priebe (Shot Put) added a third. Emma Mulhern (Pole Vault) took third (tie). Hopp (200) added a fourth. Cal/SG 1st’s: Chris Pieper (High Jump > 6’))
