Thomas N. Solberg, 80, of Spring Grove, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 13, 2026.
Tom was born on February 28, 1946, to Lyle and Alma Solberg. He graduated from Spring Grove High School in 1964. After high school, Tom spent his years farming and logging – work that suited his hardworking and independent spirit. He was also an avid collector who could find something interesting in just about anything.
Tom will be deeply missed by his children: Ron Solberg, Susan Stoen, Sandi (Dwight) Ohl, Ryan (Chelsea) Solberg, Michael (Jasmine) Erickson-Solberg and Matthew Solberg; his grandchildren: Mafona, Nikki, Dylan, Dalton, Grace, Bentley, and Olani, as well as a baby girl on the way; and his great-grandchildren: Zariah, Kingston, Kezlin, Odin, Iver, Josie, Chet and Elliot.
He is also survived by his sisters Lois Steele, Nina Lee, and Diane Vesterse.
Tom will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love of collecting, and most of all, the memories he made with the people who loved him. His presence will be deeply missed, but he will remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held at a later date.
