Theresa Weisinger obituary, Fillmore County Journal

Theresa Ann Weisinger, age 84, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022, at Regional Health Services of Howard County Hospital in Cresco, Iowa.

Theresa was born on April 1, 1938, to James A. and Margaret C. (Popesh) Ryan in Ely, Minn. She married Frank E. Weisinger on November 24, 1954. They resided in Ely, Minn., until 1960, then moved to the Wykoff area, buying a farm in 1967.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents James and Margaret Ryan, husband Frank E. Weisinger, son Timothy J. Weisinger, grandchildren Mara Ramaker and James Heckel, siblings James Ryan (Luella), Mary

Corley (Marty), and Jean Corley (Jack).

Theresa is survived by her children: Frank J. Weisinger, Margaret A. Ramaker (Rich), Pat J. Weisinger (Lori) of Wykoff, Minn.; Theresa M. Warren (Tom), Michelle Andersen (Alan) of Spring Valley, Minn.; Thomas M. Weisinger (Sue) of Waseca, Minn., Joe M. Weisinger (Kathy) of Kasson, Minn., and Kay E. Heckel (Jerry) of Georgetown, Tenn.; grandchildren Kindra Ramaker (Scott Hanson), Jerid Ramaker (Kristi), Tiffany Mundfrom (Eric), Zach Ramaker (Crystal); Travis Warren, Tyler Warren (Sarah), Toni Kolling; Cherre Metcalf (Chris), Todd Weisinger (Sydney), Katie Weisinger (Pat); Justin Andersen (Ronda), Abby Andersen; Carmen Heckel, Sara Heckel, Bobbi Heckel; great-grandchildren Dillon, Zurich (Hanson); Cole, Cody (Ramaker); Hunter, Noah, Esme (Mundfrom); Miles (Ramaker); Beck, Mali (Warren); Aspen, Paisley (Kolling); Lilli Metcalf, Bennett Weisinger; Angelina, Fox (Andersen), Lucus Hanf and Avalynn Andersen; siblings Margaret R. Fox (Leonard), Barbara J. Carnes (Bob), Veronica J. DuPuis (Paul), Joe P. Ryan (Sharon), John T. Ryan (Gailyn) and Elizabeth K. Alexander (Larry).

Theresa was very active in the Catholic churches of St. Killian and St. Ignatius. She was a Catechism teacher, member of the Ladies Altar Society and Bundles of Love. She belonged to the Collectors Club. She loved the arts – many music and entertainment performances were enjoyed with her dear friend Myrtle. She loved to travel, seeing both Holland and Alaska with her sisters. She was a homemaker, passing to her grandchildren traditions of sewing, baking and her love of gardening (both vegetables and flowers). She also worked at the Spring Valley Nursing Home.

A funeral service for Theresa will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022, at 11 a.m. with visitation from 9-11 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Spring Valley, Minn., with Fr. Marreddy officiating. Burial will be at St. Killian Catholic Cemetery in Wykoff, Minn.
