Theodore “Ted” Lee, 72, of Peterson, died Monday, February 23, 2026, at his home.
Ted was born March 6, 1953, in Lanesboro to Curtis and Nancy (Meinking) Lee. He graduated from the Peterson High School in 1971 and was drafted into the United States Army, where he was trained in communications and spent time in Italy. After his discharge he worked for four years in Web, Iowa, for the telephone company and later returned to Peterson where he started a ginseng farm with his dad that he continued until he retired. After the passing of his parents, he moved into their house. He enjoyed collecting antiques and many different items.
Ted is survived by a brother, Michael (Mickele) Lee of Peterson, two sisters, Deana (Jim) Burt of Peterson, and Lori Burt of Utica, Minn., and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Burial will take place in the Arendahl Cemetery. The Mengis Funeral Home in Mabel is assisting with arrangements.
