Spring Valley Kiwanis Club seeking Citizen of the Year

The Kiwanis Club of Spring Valley is asking the community to nominate an outstanding person to be honored at its annual Citizen of the Year program to be held in the fall. The Spring Valley City Council held a regular council meeting on July 13.  Members present included Luan Ruesink, Chris Danielson, Mike Hadland, John Dols, as well as City Administrator Deb Zimmer.  Mayor Tony Archer was absent, so Hadland led the meeting. Rosella J (Krieger) Bouten was born on July 23, 1931, in Spring Valley, Minn., to Elmer and Violet Krieger. She was the oldest of eight children and was raised on the family farm in Spring Valley.
