Three county girls teams started the year with wins. Fillmore Central got four and Kingsland three to double figures in beating Hayfield 60-47 and Lanesboro 60-28 respectively. Big girls did work. It was another good year of volleyball action in Fillmore County. Mabel-Canton won the SEC and 1A East again, pushing for state. Fillmore Central stayed one of the elite teams in the TRC.
