Sylvia “Ann” Ott, age 91, passed away at Gundersen Harmony Care Center on Sunday, August 10, 2025, in Harmony, Minn.

Funeral service for Ann will be at 1 p.m., on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Christ Lutheran Church in Preston, Minn., with Pastor Kris Hertsgaard Kincaid officiating.  Visitation will take place from 12:30-1 p.m., prior to the start of the service.  Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Ann was born on October 24, 1933, to Lester and Eva (Fields) Ott at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn.  Ann graduated from Preston High School in 1951.  While Ann was in town, she was active in Christ Lutheran Church, secretary of the Historical Society, Mr. & Ms. Garden Club, book club, and Lions Club.  She enjoyed gardening and needlework, walks around Preston, and going for breakfast with Frank Riehl.

Ann worked for the government (FBI) in Washington, D.C. for 38 years until being transferred to Rochester, Minn., to continue her career and assist with the care of her parents.

Many thanks to the wonderful caregivers at Gundersen Harmony Care Center for their care for Ann over the past few years.
