High School Scholarship
The Fillmore Soil and Water Conservation District will sponsor a $500 scholarship for a graduating Fillmore County high school student pursuing a degree in Natural Resources, Agriculture, or related field.
2025 High School Recipient
Congratulations to our 2025 Graduating High School Senior Scholarship recipient, Mara Schwartz. Mara is attending Iowa State University. We wish her well and are glad we could help her pursue her future goals. Congratulations, Mara!
College School Scholarship
The Fillmore Soil and Water Conservation District will also sponsor a $500 scholarship for a returning Fillmore County college student who will be attending school in the fall and is pursuing a degree in Natural Resources, Agriculture, or a related field.
2025 College Recipient
Congratulations to our 2025 College Scholarship recipient, Kelsi Goldsmith. Kelsi is attending University of Wisconsin: River Falls. We wish her well and are glad we would help her pursue her future goals. Congratulations, Kelsi!
Do you know a High school or College student looking to apply for scholarships? Fillmore SWCD is accepting applications until March 20, 2026. Part of the application process is an essay in which applicants describe in 500 words or less “What Natural Resources Conservation Means to Me.” The full application can be accessed online at www.fillmoreswcd.org/education/scholarships/, or picked up at the SWCD office located at 912 Houston Street NW in Preston.
