Sue Thiele

October 21, 2024 by Fillmore County Journal

Sue Thiele obituary, Fillmore county Journal

Sue Thiele, 69, of Eitzen, died Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Mayo Health System in La Crosse, Wis., surrounded by her loving family.

Sue was born April 19, 1955, in Waukon, Iowa to Fred and Norma (Wiemerslage) Breeser. She grew up in New Albin, Iowa, and graduated in 1973 from Kee High in Lansing. On October 24, 1987 she was united in marriage to David Thiele in Eitzen. The couple have remained residents of Eitzen. Sue did several different jobs over the years including a dental hygienist, CNA, physical therapy, Eitzen City Clerk, and school bus driver. She was a spunky woman who enjoyed reading, painting, and all the animals.

Sue is survived by her husband David of Eitzen, two sons, Lucas (Sarah) of Elmwood, Wis., and Logan (Bridget) of Caledonia; grandchildren Peyton, Oliver, Wyatt, Kadin, Kyra, Nora and Natalie; a sister, Karen Darling, and a brother, Butch (Bonnie) Vickery; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Braxton; brother-in-law Jug Darling; and nephew Dar Darling.

The celebration of Life will be held at the Eitzen Community Center Sunday, November 3, from 11-4. Snacks will be provided, and we encourage everyone to wear tie-dye. The McCormick Funeral Home in Caledonia is assisting with arrangements.
