Stuart Rodney Dibley, 92, of Eitzen, Minn., passed away on March 28, 2025. He was born May 21, 1932, in rural Caledonia, in a bedroom in the family farmhouse. Later in life, he slept in that same room for 60 years. He moved with his wife Ruth Ann to the Wiegrefe Apartments in Eitzen in 2017. He was a lifelong resident of the Caledonia area, working the family farm, and later working at Wiebke Produce in Eitzen, Caledonia Implement Company, and Northern Engraving in Spring Grove. He was a loyal proponent of Farmall tractors, Chevrolet motor vehicles, and the United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 70 years, Ruth Ann (Waldron) Dibley of Eitzen; son Jim Dibley (Dawn) of Rosemount, Minn.; daughter Sue Duerkop (Jason Thompson) of Ettrick, Wis.; daughter Joan Wiese (Kelly) of Chaska, Minn.; grandchildren Brandon Olson (Becca) and Adam Olson (Ashley), both of Houston, Minn., Megann Skorstad (Travis) of Caledonia, Josh Dibley and Anna Dibley, both of Minneapolis, Courtney Peterson (John) of Lewiston, Minn., Ryan Dibley (Kaylynn) of Tucson, Ariz., and Rory Dibley (Tana) of La Crescent, Minn.; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by son Scott Raymond Dibley, and by son-in-law Nick Duerkop.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Caledonia United Methodist Church, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m., with lunch to be served after the service. An internment ceremony will follow the lunch at Portland Prairie Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Portland Prairie Cemetery Association or to support the heroic volunteer first responders of Eitzen, Minn.

What a truly amazing man! I knew I’d get at least one hug that day if Stuart was around! The top bleacher will feel pretty empty at home basketball games without Stuart up there keeping his own stats.
So sorry for your loss. Condolences to the entire family. Especially Ruth… who is just as amazing as Stuart! He will be sorely missed.
