Stanley Anton Marin

Stanley Marin obituary, Fillmore County Journal

Stanley Anton Marin, 94, of Rushford, Minn., passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025.

With a heart as generous as his hands were hardworking, Stanley passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of his devoted son and resilient daughter. Just as he wished, riding his four-wheeler one last time – on a journey straight to the arms of his beloved wife Marcy who passed shortly before him. Stanley was one of three children to Albert and Clara Marin. He and his Marcy shared 72 years of marriage and raised their four children together on their family farm.

Stanley poured his heart into his farm, rising with the sun and tending his fields with the same care and commitment he showed to his friends and neighbors. He was always quick to lend a hand and give freely of what he had. His generosity extended far beyond his farm. Stanley was a man who believed in community, and he never hesitated to help others.

He was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, serving on several church and farming committee boards. A proud Army veteran and devoted farmer, he spent his life serving his country, nurturing the land, and caring for those around him. Stanley lived a life defined by generosity, hard work, and service that will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.

He is survived by his son Glen, daughter Cindy (David Howe), daughters-in-law Patty Marin (Jerry) and Kelly Marin (Doug), 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren who will forever carry his love and lessons in their hearts.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters and his cherished sons, Doug and Jerry.

Stanley will be remembered as a man of the soil and of service, and as the man who always said “You gotta have a laugh.”

Hoff Funeral Home Rushford is assisting the family. Please visit www.hofffuneral.com to leave an online condolence.
