The Spring Valley-Wykoff FFA chapter will kick off its FFA week festivities with a chapter snow tubing event on Sunday at Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch. On Monday, the chapter will serve treats to the teachers for staff appreciation after school. Tuesday will be the annual pancake breakfast open to the public from 7-9:30 a.m. in the Ag shop. The FFA week barnyard will take place on Wednesday throughout the school day, with farm animals brought by the members. Ody’s Country Meats will provide a catered lunch on Thursday for FFA members. The Ag Olympics on Friday will be the pinnacle of the week’s events, with the student body participating in numerous Ag-related games like the milk drinking contest, hay bale tossing, and nail hammering races. There will also be a scavenger hunt for rubber farm animal ducks throughout the week, which can be traded in for a prize. Additionally, the elementary classes will participate in coloring contests.
