The Spring Grove FFA Chapter has been busy competing in Career Development Events and participating in leadership activities this year. These events help members build skills, gain experience, and represent Spring Grove in agriculture.
Members who competed in General Livestock were Izaak M., Lynden M., McKenna, Henry, and Addison S. The Dairy Evaluation team, including Addison T., Tyler T., Kaleb H., Maverick K., and Nolan M., qualified for the Minnesota State FFA Competition.
Students also competed in Agricultural Mechanics, including Jacob S., Gabe K., Devon W., Dylan, and Sam K. Fish and Wildlife participants were Karson B., Max, Alex, Logan, and Henry. Poultry participants included Dylan L., Ashton M., Elijah G., and Caroline B., and Companion Animal participants were Lynden, Addison S., Dylan L., and Zak S.
Several first-year members attended Greenhand Camp, including Lynden, Addison S., Ada G., Leum G., Keyera B., Ashton M., Elijah G., Dylan L., and Zak S. Garrett W. also represented Spring Grove FFA at the Minnesota State Fair.
The Ag Challenge team included Lynden M., Caroline B., Tyson D., Carsten S., Zak S., Caleb A., Addison S., Henry K., Makenzie K., and Liberty S.
This year’s FFA officers are President Addison T., Vice President Dash R., Secretary Devon W., Treasurer Tyler T., and Sentinel Kaleb H.
Upcoming events include fruit sales, Pastry Puffin sales, and attending the State FFA Convention. Spring Grove FFA continues to give members opportunities to grow, compete, and be involved in agriculture.
