Caledonia softball went 5-0 on the week. At Dover-Eyota, the #2 in AA Warriors out-hit the Eagles 15 to 3, though posted a modest 6-0 win. Junior Avery Augedahl hit a solo home run (3-4, RBI, R) and pitched a three-hit shutout (0 R, 0 BB, 12 K). Lily Augedahl also had three hits (3-4, 2 RBI, R), Brairy Proulx two doubles (2-3, 2 R). Elsa Blum (1-3, RBI, R), Vivian Kittleson (1-3, RBI, R), and Paizley Lange (2-5) helped. Two nights later, PEM fell 10-0 in five innings. It clinched the Warriors the TRC-East title. Augedahl (5 IP, 0 R, 0 BB, 8 K; 1-2, R) threw a two-hitter. Proulx (3-3, 2B, 3 R), Blum (2-3, 2B, 3B, RBI, 2 R), and P-Lange (2-4, 2B, 2 RBI, R) had extra base hits. Lily Wiebke (1-2, R) added two RBI. One-win FC/L then fell at home 25-0 in four innings. It was Cal’s sixth straight shutout win.
Wiebke (3-3, 2B, 3 R), Lauren Goetzinger (3-4, 3 R), and Adrienne Lange (1-2, 2B, 2 R) each drove in four runs. Ayla Lange (2-2, 2B, R; 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R) drove in three. A-Augedahl (2-3, 2 RBI, 3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 8 K, Win), L-Augedahl (1-2, 2 RBI, 3 R) and P-Lange (2-3, 2 R) helped. The Falcons fell to 1-11 (TRC), 1-16 (overall). Caledonia moved on to the Rochester Tourney. Versus Watertown-Mayer, the Royals scored in the first inning, bringing Caledonia’s streak of 40-scoreless-innings-against to an end. But W-M had just one hit, the Warriors seven extra base hits including three home runs. A five-run seventh shut the door in a 9-1 win. Ashlyn Reinhart (2-4, 3 RBI, R), L-Augedahl (2-4, RBI, R), and P-Lange (3-3, RBI, 3 R) went yard. The latter, Blum (3-4, 3 RBI, R, Proulx (1-4), and Wiebke (1-4, R) had doubles. A-Augedahl pitched a one-hitter (1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB) with 16 strikeouts. Versus Rochester-Lourdes, the lead was 10-0 before the Eagles scored. The final was 10-4. A-Augedahl (4 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 7 K) got the win. Blum (2-5, two 2B, 2 R) drove in three. P-Lange (3-4, RBI, 3 R) and A-Augedahl (3-3, 3B, RBI, 2R) each had three hits. Reinhart (2-4, R), Nora Staggemeyer (1-3, RBI, R), L-Augedahl (1-3, RBI, R), and Proulx (1-3, RBI) helped. Winners of 15 straight, the #2 Warriors (13-0 TRC, 19-1 overall) have the East wrapped up over Cotter (9-4, 13-5).
