According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at 7:46 p.m. on December 20, 2019, a Ford F-150 was traveling westbound on Highway 44 near Highway 52 when it struck a horse that was loose in the lane of traffic. The driver, Tyler Solie, 33, of Mabel, Minn., was transported to a local hospital with believed non-life-threatening injuries.
On the scene were Harmony Fire and Ambulance, Winneshiek Ambulance, and Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office.
