Chatfield Certifies 2026 Levy

At the December 8 meeting of the Chatfield City Council, the 2026 levy was certified in the amount of $2,885,640. This represents an increase of $147,277, or 5.378% over 2025. At the October 27 meeting of the city council, Craig Britton, city engineer, updated the council on the 2025 Street Improvement Project. Councilors Pam Bluhm and Mike Urban were absent. The first pay request from Rochester Sand & Gravel was approved in the amount of $1,143,706 after about 85% of the project work is considered complete. Jessica Kral is a 2020 graduate of New Ulm Public High School and graduated from Winona State University in December 2024 with an Academic and Behavioral Strategist (ABS) Special Education degree.
