Where We Left Off in 2023: The Trojans boys (3-5, 3-5) and girls (0-8, 0-8) had down years in the TRC East. The guys finished sixth, the girls ninth at the TRC Meet. The boys took fifth at sections, the girls did not make Day 2.
Outlook: A year removed from the boys making state, neither Trojan squad had an All-TRC pick. Neither team had a top 20 finisher at the TRC Meet. The boys were very young, as 7th grader Sam LaFleur posted the team’s highest 1A meet finish, 16th place. Kellen Drinkall (8th grader), Will LaFleur (sophomore), Carter Kopperud (sophomore), and Jaxson Meldahl (sophomore) also competed at the 1A Meet. R-P returns five of its six top boys. On the girls side, Audrey Frick (sophomore), Alaina Meier (junior), and Adalynn Hoel (sophomore) return to a six-gal team.
