Members of the Rushford-Peterson FFA Chapter are excited to celebrate National FFA Week! To celebrate, the chapter has planned several activities to promote agricultural awareness, community involvement, and school spirit. The chapter will host its yearly teacher appreciation breakfast to thank educators for their continued support of FFA. In addition, members will visit elementary classrooms throughout the week. During these visits, members will read agricultural-themed books, educate younger students about the importance of the FFA jacket and emblem, and create thank-you cards for farmers throughout the local community. Students will also be invited to dress up for themed days throughout the week, allowing every student to be involved in the week’s festivities. Moreover, the officer team will host an Ag Olympics event for the Rushford-Peterson middle school students, which allows them to become involved with FFA and to see some of the opportunities FFA offers in an active, entertaining, and involved way. It will include events that showcase the teamwork, leadership and communication skills developed within FFA. These events include classic games such as tug of war and more comedic activities, such as kissing a baby goat, and many more entertaining activities. The events that the chapter hosts throughout the week highlight the opportunities, leadership, and community involvement that FFA provides to students throughout the year.
