Members Present: Mayor Benson, Council members O’Donnell, Ryman, Linder, Volkman; Staff Present: Administrator Chladek, Clerk/Treas. Zacher
Consent Agenda and notices: verified claims and fund summary report. Approve three resolutions for LUP paperwork with MDOT for park/ride facility at Nordic Lanes, entrance sign on Hwy 16, bike trail section on Hwy 43. Note participation of Ambulance Svc. in SE MN Disaster Health Coalition communications exercise.
Review Rushford Days plans with Committee for plans and layout at Creekside Park, insurance needs, and activity needs; approve beer license and ATV/UTV use.
Approve Amendment to Electric Service Agreement with MiEnergy Cooperative.
Approve Resolution acknowledging donations from family and friends for planting of nine trees in parks, pathways, etc. Approve Resolution acknowledging Dorothy Anderson memorial donations to Rushford Ambulance Service; will be used for purchase and upgrade of pagers and radios.
Airport projects: Approve Change Order #1 for pavement project subgrade additional work; adopt two Resolutions for State Grant Agreements for Thompson Hangar and for Engineering Site work for new hangar structure – both at 75/25 cost share. Approve Task Order with Mead & Hunt for engineering for design and preliminary work on site for new hangar structure.
Closed meeting to discuss with EDA potential purchase of Farmer’s WIN Coop; review offers/counter-offers and next steps. No decisions made; allow time for all members to visit the site and the buildings and will meet again to discuss in a couple months.
