The 2017 Harmony Community Chest Drive has been completed. Even without the door-to-door solicitations, we raised $6,200 in mailed-in donations. This is up from the $5,675 raised in 2016. Proceeds from the drive are given to local and regional organizations and charities. The disbursement of funds was as follows, plus expenses:
• $2,200 Harmony Ambulance
• $600 Harmony Public Library
• $500 Fillmore Salvation Army
• $500 American Red Cross
• $300 Maple Leaf Services
• $250 ARC
• $250 Courage Center
• $250 Fillmore County DAC
• $200 Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
• $200 Fillmore Central Dollars for Scholars
• $200 Harmony Boy Scouts
• $200 Harmony Girl Scouts
• $200 Multiple Sclerosis Society
• $150 ACT on Alzheimer’s
Organizers gratefully thank the city and Community Chest members for assisting with the mailing and Harmony residents and businesses for their continued financial support.
