ST. PAUL, MN – State Representative Greg Davids (R-Preston) is pleased to announce that the City of Houston has received a Minnesota Public Facilities Authority (MPFA) grant and loan.
“This is wonderful news for Houston, and I commend the city and state officials who worked together to make this grant happen,” Davids said.
Houston will receive a WIF Wastewater Grant of nearly $3 million and a Clean Water SRF-Loan of nearly $1.2 million for rehabilitation of the city’s wastewater treatment plant. The MPFA estimates that the PFA loan (30 years at 1%) will save local taxpayers approximately $139,318 in interest costs compared to market rate financing.
