Randal “Randy” Feine

July 30, 2024 by Fillmore County Journal

Randal Feine obituary, Fillmore County Journal

Randal “Randy” Feine, a beloved son, brother and friend, was received by Jesus on July 28, 2024, due to a sudden illness, at the age of 62. Born on August 29, 1961, in Winona, Minn., to Vernon and Ethel (Sievers) Feine, Randy spent his early years on the family farm in Rushford, Minn., surrounded by the love of his family.

Randy’s compassion and dedication were evident in his work with the Winona DAC and Home and Community Options. He brought awareness to individuals with developmental disabilities and advocated to maximize their independence. Known for his love of chocolate, Hershey, Penn., was one of his favorite trips. He planned many trips anywhere from Disney World to indulging in cruises, his genuine passion for exploration and discovery shone brightly. Randy also loved tinkering with gadgets. He would read every user’s manual cover to cover to learn everything he could about the technology. Randy’s curiosity and zest for life knew no bounds.

Randy will be missed for his quirkiness and all the laughter and jokes. He was loved by so many and his memories will live on.

He leaves behind his brother Jim Feine, sister-in-law Marcie Feine, nieces and nephews Chrissy (Jerry Benedict) Feine and their children Kasity and Jax; Bethany (Joe) Notch and their children Evelyn and Elliot; Amber (Jordan Rasmussen) Feine-Rasmussen and their children Autum, Nora, Gwen, Silas and August; and Mike Feine.

He is preceded in death by his parents Vernon and Ethel and his brother Glen Feine.

Memorial services will take place at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hart, Minn., on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 11a.m. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Home and Community Options or St. John’s Lutheran Church, in recognition of Randy’s dedication to supporting individuals with disabilities and his unwavering faith.

Thank you to Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center and the staff and friends at Home and Community Options.

Hoff Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
