Ramona Ann Hudson Obituary - Fillmore County Journal

Ramona Ann Hudson, age 89, of Harmony, Minn., died Monday, October 24, 2022, at Harmony Place in Harmony.

Ramona was born July 30, 1933, in Canton, Minn., to Ralph and Clara (Gillund) Thompson.  She graduated from the Canton High School in 1951.  On October 16, 1954, she married Lawrence “Larry” Hudson in Harmony.  They farmed in the Canton and Harmony areas. Larry passed away December 27, 2013. Ramona was a member of the Henrytown Lutheran Church where she was active with Lois Circle and WELCA.

Ramona is survived by her three children: Gary of Canton, Lori Hudson of Harmony, and Tammy Serres of West Salem, Wisc; seven grandchildren: Travis (Katie) Grooters, Heather (Seth) Tribon, Lindsey Larson, Ryan (Mollie) Grooters, Scott (Staci) Serres, Rachele Serres (Brandon Puleo), and Dylan Mann; 10 great-grandchildren: Tyler, Ella, Addy, Aiden, Reese, Hudson, Marcus, Austin, Ashlynn, and Isaiah; brothers and sisters Marilyn Handberg, Donnis Forkum, Joann Caldwell, and Jerry (Betty) Thompson; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence, her parents, a son, Scott; a sister, Charlene Underbakke; and brothers- and sisters-in-law.

Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2022, at the Henrytown Lutheran Church in rural Harmony. Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.  Memorials are preferred to the Henrytown Lutheran Church, Henrytown Lutheran Cemetery, or the Elliota Cemetery. The Mengis Funeral Home in Mabel is assisting the family with arrangements.
