PRESTON, MN – Potential residents, future employees and local businesses are invited to learn more about the Preston Veterans Home at a Community Office Open House. The event will be held Wednesday, March 29 from 1-3 p.m. at the Preston Veterans Home Community Recruitment and Training Office located at 144 Main Street SW in Preston – NOT at the new home’s construction site.
The new veterans home, scheduled to open this summer, will serve up to 54 residents who are qualified veterans or a spouse of a qualified veteran, and who need skilled nursing care.
Home Administrator Dave Dunn began his new role in November and has been hiring the leadership team including Director of Nursing Valerie Ness. Eventually, more than 115 full-time and part-time employees will work at the Home. Most staff will be hired in late spring/early summer.
The Home is also looking to contract with a number of local businesses to provide goods and services, including resident services of dental and entertainment and facility services of electrical, equipment repair and chaplaincy.
Refreshments will be served. No RSVP is required.
