Pearl L. (Moger) Bue, 93, passed away November 25, 2019, at Chosen Valley Care Center, Chatfield.
Pearl attended grade school at rural Gribben Valley and graduated from Preston High School in 1943. On July 17, 1943, she married Odell A. Bue at Rev. Nestande’s parsonage in Lanesboro. They lived briefly in Bagley before settling in Lanesboro, where they raised two children, Wesley and Mary. They eventually moved to Chatfield, where Odell built their home.
Pearl was a warm, caring woman. She was a homemaker and creator of the most wonderful embroidered and knitted projects. She loved to garden and care for her houseplants. But most of all, she loved her family and friends and put them first in her life.
Pearl is survived by her children Wesley (Denise Eng-Bue) Bue and Mary (Peter) Lewis; siblings Eva (Arden) Tuftin, Delores (Steve) Glynn, and Lavern (Ramona) Moger; grandchildren Tony (Santina), Zack and Jason (April) Johnson, Sarah (Steve) Janssen, Beck Eng-Bue, and Cevdet (Elif) Cingi; great-grandchildren Gabe, Ali and Owen Janssen; Alex, Spencer, Cameron and Andrew Johnson; and Kyle Cingi.
Pearl is preceded in death by her husband Odell, parents Peter and Christina, brothers Harold and Clifford Moger, grandchildren Karen Johnson and Matthew Bue.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 30 at Chatfield Lutheran Church, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Officiating will be Pastor Mark Docken and Nissa Peterson. Burial will be in the Chatfield Cemetery following the service.
