Paul Dvorak obituary, Fillmore county Journal

Paul Edward Dvorak, 78, of Rushford, died Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse.

Paul was born February 1, 1945, in Rushford to Edward and Helen (Tracy) Dvorak.  On May 26, 1967, he married Luanne Burke at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.  They made their home on his family farm on Vinegar Hill, where he was a dedicated farmer for many years.  In 2000, they sold the farm and moved to Rushford where he worked as a custodian and bus driver for Rushford-Peterson Schools.  He was a devoted member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church throughout his life and was active in various capacities.  He enjoyed golf, playing cards, watching TV, especially Westerns and was a wealth of common knowledge. Paul enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.  

He is survived by his wife Luanne, four children: Teresa Dvorak of Rushford, Timothy Dvorak of Mantorville, Brian (Christine) Dvorak of Rochester, and Christian (Alison) Dvorak of Rushford; eight grandchildren: Sam, Anna, Adam, Jackson, Joseph, Jace, Brynn and Drew; one sister, Rose Marie (Harvey) Anderson of Naples, Fla.; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Monday, December 11, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Rushford.  Visitation will be 2-4 p.m., Sunday at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service – Rushford and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.  He will be laid to rest at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.  Hoff Funeral & Cremation Service- Rushford is assisting the family with arrangements. www.hofffuneral.com
