Fillmore County Journal - Patricia Hanson Obituary

Patricia Lorraine Hanson, 80, of Chatfield, Minn., died on Monday, November 21, 2016 at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.

She was born in Chatfield to Darrell and Edith (Holets) Horsman on February 19, 1936. She graduated from Chatfield High School in 1953. On January 30, 1954 she married Thomas E. Hanson at Chatfield United Methodist Church. The couple made their home in or near Chatfield for all of their married lives, except for two years where they lived in Babbit, Minn.

Patricia enjoyed drawing, painting, working in her flower beds, and writing letters and cards. She was a member of Chatfield United Methodist Church.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Kyle (Leslie) Hanson of Superior, Wis., and Tammi (Kevin) McKinney of Spring Valley, Minn.; grandchildren: Chelsie, Jasa, Blake, Alex, and Trent; great-grandchildren: Caiden, Talon, and Rylie; and siblings Nancy (Jerry) Schultz of St. Charles and Dale (Kris) Horsman of Chatfield.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas in 2008, her parents, and a sister, Dixie Duellman.

A funeral service took place 2 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2016, at Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield, with Pastor Debra Jene Collum of Chatfield United Methodist Church officiating. A time of visitation and sharing was from noon until the time of service on Sunday. The committal service took place at the Washington Cemetery in rural Spring Valley.
