Churches (and Lenora)
In 2007 I received a book written by Bishop Rueben P. Job. It was not a big or lengthy book, yet it was a book of transforming power and love. THREE SIMPLE RULES lifted up a powerful life and world changing way to live. Quoting Reuben Job, “There are three simple rules that have the power to change the world. While they are ancient, they have seldom been fully put to the test. But when and where practiced, the world of things as they were was shaken until a new formation, a new world was formed. The Wesleyan movement is a prime example of this new creation that is formed when these three simple rules are adopted as a way of living … We search for a way to overcome the divisiveness that separates, disparages disrespects, diminishes, and leaves us wounded and imcomplete.”
Bishop Job goes on to lift up just how life and world chnaging these three simple rules can be … I cannot go into all of it in this short devotional, but I invite you to read THREE SIMPLE RULES written by Rueben P. Job. (Copyright 2007 by Abingdon Press) The three simple rules put forth by Rev.John Wesley centuries ago ring true today in a world desparate to experience the transforming love of God in Jesus Christ … What are those three simple rules? “DO NO HARM. DO GOOD STAY IN LOVE WITH GOD”
Certainly something to think about and something to put into daily practice.
God’s blessings always.

Pastor Mark Woodward
