Orland Brunsvold, age 89 of Harmony, Minn., died Monday November 21, 2016 at the Gundersen Harmony Care Center in Harmony. A visitation will be held Monday, November 28, 2016 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Harmony. Inurnment will be at a later date in Big Spring Cemetery, rural Harmony. (There will be no services, only the visitation on Monday.)
Orland Francis Brunsvold was born March 16, 1927 to Truman and Beatrice (Lien) Brunsvold. He married Estella Lange, with whom he shares a daughter, Carolyn. Estella passed away in 1950. Orland later married Lenore Wodele, with whom shares two sons, Charles and David. They farmed in Bristol Township until moving to Harmony in 1980. Lenore passed away in 2013.
Orland enjoyed farm custom work, traveling, time with his family and polka dancing; over the years they danced at 150 dance halls.
Orland is survived by his three children: Carolyn (Bill) of Kalamazoo, Mich.; Charles (Julie) of Preston, Minn.; and David (Debbie) of Ariz.; seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, with one expected in December; a brother, Dean (Mavis) of Harmony, Minn.; and nieces and nephews. Orland was preceded in death by his parents, both wives, Estella and Lenore; and a brother, Gerald.
