NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special election has been called and will be held for Independent School District No. 239 (Rushford-Peterson Schools), State of Minnesota, on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, for the purpose of voting on the following question:
School District Question 1
Approval of School District Bond Issue
Shall the school board of Independent School District No. 239 (Rushford-Peterson Schools) be authorized to issue its general obligation school building bonds in an amount not to exceed $24,015,000 to provide funds for the acquisition and betterment of school sites and facilities, including upgrades to security systems; the construction and equipping of additions to the school site and facility, including a storm shelter, elementary and high school classrooms, a gymnasium, flexible learning spaces and daycare rooms; renovations and updates to the family and consumer science (FACS) lab; the construction and equipping a vehicle maintenance facility; remodeling and upgrades to restrooms, lighting and finishes; and the completion of deferred maintenance projects at school sites and facilities?

This combined polling place serves all territory in Independent School District No. 239 located in FILLMORE COUNTY: Amherst Township, Arendahl Township, Holt Township, Norway Township, City of Peterson, Pilot Mound Township, Preble Township, City of Rushford and City of Rushford Village; HOUSTON COUNTY: Black Hammer Township, Money Creek Township and Yucatan Township; WINONA COUNTY: Hart Township, Fremont Township, Saratoga Township and Wiscoy Township.
Any eligible voter residing in the School District may vote at said election at the combined polling place designated above for the precinct in which he or she resides. The polls for said election will be opened at 7:00 o’clock a.m. and will close at 8:00 o’clock p.m. on the date of said election.
A voter must be registered to vote to be eligible to vote in this election. An unregistered individual may register to vote at the combined polling place on election day.
