THE ADOPTION OF THE ORDINANCE GRANTING TO MINNESOTA ENERGY RESOURCES, A SUBSIDIARY OF WEC ENERGY GROUP, A WISCONSIN CORPORATION, ITS SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS, PERMISSION TO ERECT A GAS DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM FOR THE PURPOSES OF CONSTRUCTING, OPERATING, REPAIRING AND MAINTAINING IN THE CITY OF RUSHORD, MINNESOTA, THE NECESSARY GAS PIPES, MAINS AND APPERTENANCES FOR THE TRANSMISSION OR DISTRIBUTION OF GAS TO THE CITY AND ITS INHABITANTS, AND OTHERS AND TRANSMITTING GAS INTO AND THROUGH THE CITY AND TO USE THE PUBLIC GROUNDS AND PUBLIC WAYS OF THE CITY FOR SUCH PURPOSES.
The Rushford City Council will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2025 at the Rushford City Hall, 101 N. Mill Street to consider the adoption of the Ordinance Granting a Franchise to Minnesota Energy Resources and to consider the repeal of the 25-Year Natural Gas Franchise Ordinance adopted in 2000. The hearing is open to the public and citizens are encouraged to attend.
