Neil A. Rowland, 69, of Chatfield, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Mayo Clinic St. Marys Campus, surrounded by his three boys.
Neil Alex Rowland was born November 14, 1954, in Gaylord, Minn., to Arlo and Janice (Redman) Rowland. The Rowland family moved from Gaylord to Byron in 1958, where Arlo started the Rowland Well Co. family business. In 1960 they moved the family and business to Chatfield. On April 24, 1976, Neil married Rosalie Gossman. They had three boys: Scott, Adam and Ben; they later divorced.
Neil was a member with the Minnesota Department of Health and Minnesota Well Association. His biggest pride was his three boys and family business which provided waterwell drilling and service of wells to many families and farms all across southeast Minnesota. He also enjoyed going to the river and boating, playing cards, gambling, and watching sports and his grandchildren play sports.
Neil is survived by his three sons and four grandchildren: Scott and Alex; Adam (Trista) and McKenzie, Carson; Ben and Louis, all of Chatfield; two brothers, Doug (Kim) and Steve (Nancy) of Chatfield; and former wife Rosie of Chatfield.
