The Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum will be having an All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast, Sunday, March 13, 2022, from 7 a.m. – 12 noon at St. Benedict Catholic Church dining hall, 307 W Main St., Decorah, Iowa.
The museum is raising funds to “Move the Schoolhouse” onto the grounds of the museum. This one-room schoolhouse, once called the Pot Hollow School, was built in 1915 and moved to Burr Oak in 1960 to be used as additional classroom space for the Burr Oak School. The building was restored in 1994 and used as an artist’s studio. It was recently donated to the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum. Once the funds are raised to build a foundation and relocate the building to the museum property, visitors will be able to enjoy it during their tours and students can experience a school day in pioneer times.
They will be serving “All You Can Eat Pancakes” along with scrambled eggs, sausage links, applesauce, beverage for $10.00.
