Maxine Mary (Nolan) Kingsley, age 93, of Harmony, Minn., passed away at the Gunderson Harmony Care Center on Monday, May 31, 2021.

Maxine was born on June 6, 1927, to O. Maxine married Thomas Kingsley at St. Columban’s Catholic Church in Preston on April 11, 1950.  They were blessed with 10 children.  They rented farms until moving to the Hutton area and purchased a farm.  Together they worked the farm until purchasing a branch of Rochester Dairy, which they operated as Kingsley Dairy.  Maxine was the accountant for the dairy business. She was a member of the Nativity BVM Church, where she was secretary for 22 years.  Maxine assisted in many roles within the church as a Eucharistic minister, lector and a catechist. She belonged to the Nativity of CCW, was a 4-H leader and a member of the Cancer Support Group in the Harmony area.

She enjoyed making blankets and quilts for all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, which are still treasured by many today.

Maxine is survived by her 10 children: Steven (Terri) of Vienna, Va., Gerald (Deb) of Ceresco, Nebr., Susan Mills of Beaverton, Ore., Judy Schnitzler of Decorah, Iowa, David (Leanne) of Harmony, Bruce (Liza) of Cresco, Iowa, Allan (Dana) of Waseca, Minn., Kerry (Jane) of Harmony, Jane Iverson of Clear Lake, Iowa, and Karen (Dean) Fox of Rochester, Minn.; 31 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas, son in-law James Schnitzler, brother Gregory (Jeanette) Nolan, and infant twin grandsons.

Funeral services for Maxine will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Nativity Catholic Church in Harmony, with visitation one hour prior to services. Friends may call on Friday, June 4, 2021, from 4-6 p.m. at Lindstrom Funeral Home in Harmony.  Burial will take place at St Agnes Plymouth Rock Catholic Cemetery in rural Decorah, Iowa.
