MaryAnn Heidtke passed away on September 21, 2022, at the Chosen Valley Care Center, where she was currently residing. She was born on December 23, 1944, in Preston, Minn., to Walter and Erna (Busitzky) Heidtke. She attended and graduated as salutatorian, from Wykoff High School in 1962. She then attended Gustavus Adolphus College in St Peter, Minn., majoring in Political Science. She eventually moved to Belen, N. Mex., and in recent years moved back to live in Chatfield, to be closer to family. She was a huge fan of the Vikings and Elvis Presley.
MaryAnn will be missed by survivors including her brother Mervin and his wife Carol of Fountain, Minn. Also, a sister-in-law, Bonita Heidtke of Fountain, Minn. Other survivors include nieces Sandra (Rob Larson), Lisa (Jim Schlotterback), Sonya (Ron Huesman), Debra (Jim Schott), Vickey (Kent Duxbury), Stephanie (Dave Tobin); and nephews Steven Heidtke and James (Andrea) Heidtke. She is also survived by many great-nephews and nieces, along with great-great-nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ray and Harold, and a nephew, Brian.
According to her wishes, she was cremated and a celebration of life will be held at Fountain Lutheran Church, Fountain Minn., on October 9 between 1–3 pm. Online condolences are welcome at rileyfuneralhomes.com.
