Margaret “Marge” Christianson

March 10, 2025 by Fillmore County Journal

Margaret Christianson obituary, Fillmore County Journal

April 27, 1943 – March 4, 2025

Margaret “Marge” Christianson, 81, of Preston, Minn., passed away on March 4, 2025, at St. Marys Hospital, with her family by her side.

Marge was the definition of hard work and heart. A dedicated farmer and homemaker, she poured her energy into her cattle, the land and the people she loved. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome, always willing to lend a hand and brighten the room with her unmatched positive energy. To know her was to love her.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Carmen; and her children: Cheryl (Ed) Brekke, Tracy Christianson and Andy Christianson. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Karrie Wykle, Brittney (Danny) Flowers, Victoria (Charlie) Cole, Sam (Emily) Brekke, Kayla (Eric) Brockmeyer and Alex Christianson; as well as 11 great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy.

Marge’s legacy is one of love, resilience, and unwavering kindness. She leaves behind a family who adored her and a community who will deeply miss her presence.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, March 14, at 11 a.m, with visitation one hour prior at St. Columban Catholic Church in Preston, Minn.
