Marcellus Ranzenberger, age 77, of Spring Grove, Minn., formerly of Mabel, Minn., and Dorchester, Iowa, died Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Gundersen Tweeten Care Center in Spring Grove.
Marcellus was born January 6, 1937 in Waukon, Iowa. He graduated from Spring Grove High School. He married Mary Ann Rasmussen and they lived and farmed in the Dorchester area until moving to Mabel. Mary Ann died October 1, 2014. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Eitzen, Minn., and enjoyed traveling in their camper with Mary Ann to Arizona for the winter months.
Marcellus is survived by nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, November 27 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Eitzen, Minn., with Rev. Todd Krueger officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. The Mengis Funeral Home in Mabel is assisting with arrangements.
