Lyle Stanley Bremmer, age 92, of Peterson, died Thursday, October 12, 2023, at his home.
Lyle was born September 28, 1931, in Peterson, the son of Adolph and Judith (Woxland) Bremmer. He graduated from Peterson High School, and was a life-long farmer. He was united in marriage to Carol Johnson June 9, 1956, and the couple raised their family in Peterson. Lyle enjoyed boating and fishing, taking fishing trips up north to Flag Island, Canada. He and Carol enjoyed listening to polka, and he always had polka on the AM radio in the tractor. He was an avid reader, and looked forward to the newspaper every morning. He liked sitting outside in the front yard, watching the cars drive by. Lyle was a kind and caring person, and would help out anyone in need.
He is survived by his children, Michelle Akins of Okeechobee, Fla., and Marlyn Bremmer of Peterson, Minn.; and sister Adeline (Arne) Agrimson of Rushford.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Carol, and sons Michael and Mark Bremmer.
A funeral service will be held Monday, October 16, 2023, at 11 a.m. at North Prairie Lutheran Church in Peterson, with Rev. Sarah Walker Brown officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at North Prairie Lutheran Cemetery.
