Lori J. McCabe, 62, of Chatfield, passed away at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Marys Campus on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Lori Jean Peirce was born June 19, 1961, in Lanesboro to Arlynn and Valerie (Christensen) Peirce.
Lori started her education in Rushford, Minn., K-5 grade, Rushford-Peterson Elementary. She moved to Preston to continue and finish her education at Preston-Fountain High School. She successfully graduated in the year of 1979.
Lori enjoyed girls weekends, hanging out with the grandkids and going to their sporting events. She loved reading books, mostly romance novels, watching anything on the Hallmark channel and enjoying her favorite shows, NCIS and CSI. But the biggest love of all was taking care of her kitty cats.
Lori is survived by her husband Ken McCabe, sons Matthew (Lindsay) McCabe, Joshua (Caryn Ramer) McCabe, Ryan McCabe, and Scott (Nicole) McCabe; daughter Sara McCabe, mother Valerie Christensen, brothers Allen (Holli) Peirce of Becker, Minn., and Randy Peirce of St. Paul, Minn.; and grandchildren Lucas McCabe, Hailey McCabe, Matthew McClimon, Kelly McClimon, Aryanna Backus, Kyla McCabe, Isabella McCabe, Jackson McCabe, Aubrey Clark, Sheyanne McCabe and Kolten McCabe.
She is preceded in death by her father Arlynn Peirce, brother Terry Peirce, stepdad Gene Christensen, father-in-law George McCabe, and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral mass for Lori will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chatfield. Visitation will be Friday, December 29, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. at the church and will continue Saturday morning from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery following the service.
