Lola Weiss obituary, Fillmore County Journal

Lola Ruth (Grabhorn) Weiss, age 86, of Houston, Minnesota, died Friday, August 14, 2026, at Bay Harbor of La Crescent.

Lola was born November 22, 1939, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, the daughter of Roy and Orena (Wager) Grabhorn. She graduated from Houston High School in 1959. She then moved to Milwaukee, where she met Roger Tiedemann. They were united in marriage and had two daughters, Vicki and Mary. The couple later divorced. She met the love of her life, Paull Weiss, and they were united in marriage in 1975. Paull preceded her in death in 1995. Lola enjoyed boating and refinishing furniture. She loved to travel with Paull, and they both loved being the best grandparents and great-grandparents ever! She was a member of the Evangel Assembly of God Church in Milwaukee, and loved the Lord dearly. Even though she is no longer with us, we know she is with her Jesus.

Lola is survived by her daughters Vicki (Craig) Heuser of Spring Grove, Minnesota, and Mary Walls of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; step-children Steve Weiss of Delafield, Wisconsin, and Wendy (Eduard) Romanov of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren Chad (Andrea) Heuser of Rushford, Minnesota, Bradley Heuser of Rushford, and Samantha Cunningham of Spring Grove, Kelly (Derek) Haugen of Colgate, Wisconsin; great-grandchildren Lily and Mayme Heuser, Caitlyn and Camdyn Heuser, Tamzyn Cunningham, Madeline and Harry Haugen; and sister Carol (Gary) Koel of Caledonia, Minnesota

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Paull; sisters Arlys Noben and Helen Winterbottom, and a daughter in infancy, Barbara Ann.

A funeral service will be held for Lola on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 6 p.m. at Hoff Funeral Home in Houston, Minnesota. Visitation will be prior to the service at the funeral home, from 5-6 p.m. A private family interment is being held at a later date.
