Lisa Kimball obituary, Fillmore County Journal

Lisa Jean Kimball, 57, formerly of Canton and Mabel, died Monday, October 13, 2025, at the Pine Haven Care Center in Pine Island, after a courageous three-year fight with MSA-c.

Lisa was born January 18, 1968, in Spring Grove to Gary and Shirley (Bakke) Kimball.  She graduated in 1986 from the Mabel-Canton High School. She went through the Surgical Technician program at RCTC. She had worked for 13 years at the Mayo Clinic and 16 years at Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee before her health forced her to retire in 2023.

Lisa enjoyed her family, watching the Vikings, ‘80s music, the outdoors, and going for drives.

Lisa is survived by two sons, Jordan (Autumn Noble) of Byron, and Ryan of Milwaukee; a grandson, Jayden; her mother, Shirley of Canton; two brothers, Terry (Kathy) of Burr Oak, Iowa, and Tim (Karen Bigalk Apenhorst) of Lime Springs; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.

A celebration of life will be 12–5 p.m., Saturday, November 15 at the American Legion Post 299 in Mabel.
