Jaxon Strinmoen, for the second time this season, poured in 25 points versus Glenville-Emmons as the visiting Spring Grove boys rolled to a 19th straight win over the Wolverines, 82-40. Ben Udstuen added 15 points and a career-high 6 assists while Jacob Olerud supplied 12 points. Thirteen Lions played; 10 scored. Seven Wolverines scored but none in double figures.

The Grove guys (16-1, 13-1 SEC) had half-a-hundred points by halftime (50-22), consistently able to penetrate the Wolverine defense with both the dribble (26 points) and the pass (20 points). SG shot 52% from the field, twice the success of their hosts’ 26%.

The Lion defense came away with 16 steals, which contributed to 26 Wolverine turnovers. Strinmoen and Ethan Crouch each had 4 thefts. G-E (5-13, 4-10 SEC) was most competitive beneath the backboards with 33 rebounds to the Lions’ 30.

Spring Grove had won the teams’ first meeting back in December, 66-27. Glenville-Emmons does not have a B-team this season.
