To the Editor,
They rejoiced in the streets. He’s dead. They feel like they are living a scene from the “Wizard of Oz.’ “Ding dong, the wicked witch is dead.” When in fact they are living a prelude to the book of Revelation. As a teen, I read John the Revelator describe the death of the two witnesses and could not imagine how “they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts to one another;” Rev. 11:10. I was born the year after JFK was assassinated; which is the only video of a murder that I saw as a teen. There were no recordings of people celebrating his death, or MLK, or Bobby Kennedy, or even the attempted assassination of Reagan in the 80’s. But now the fulfillment of John’s vision is clear. It is now revealed that the world is ready to dance in the streets over the murder of two preachers. This was never possible at any other time in world history. Though this generation is lost, there is hope for the future. As Charlie told Mrs. Kirk, “No child is ever too young to hear the gospel.”
