To the Editor,
Where’s Mister’s mail-in ballot? I know it is early but with the USPS problems he is getting anxious knowing his ballot must arrive at his polling location by Nov. 3. Plus, the fact that he was hoping to possibly even have his friends get ballots also. He had them over for a rally a couple weeks ago. We turned on a Trump rally on the TV, for them; let me say Mister was a big hit that day!
He has not pre-registered, nor does he have ID, but he does have a photo lying under the Christmas tree, waiting for Santa Paws, for proof of identity. Mister is our three-year-old, (28 in human years, [so he is age-eligible]), gray European shorthair Tabby cat and lives in Lake City, Fla., but is visiting Rushford in SE MN where we grew up. He is a HUGE Trump fan and prefers to be called “Trumpy Cat.”
He watches One America News and Newsmax, (and Tucker when he comes on), with us and has seen and heard of other felines, (and even dogs), getting ballots. God, forbid they are sending them to DOGS, because as everyone knows they will vote for anyone who throws them a bone!
He knows he cannot vote in person because of all the humans and their COVID threat, (he feels much more comfortable at the crowded grocers picking up cat food and toys), plus the fact that he cannot wear his “Trump 2020” PPE mask to the polling place, (campaigning issue), plus the ID thing mentioned above! So, in short, we calm him and turn the channel when Nancy or Chuck come on, and that helps a lot. In closing he asks not only for himself, but his friends also, “PLEASE HURRY”!

Then again, Mister won’t be able to register to vote.
